HOW DID THIS FARRIER SAVE HOURS EVERY WEEK? BY AUTOMATING ONE SIMPLE TASK.

What would Eva say to a farrier considering EQUINET?

“When I see farriers asking questions in social media forums about scheduling or practice management, I make sure I mention EQUINET. It’s a really wonderful app.”
Eva Clark didn’t set out to become a farrier. It happened a bit by accident.

While boarding her horse at a property where a retired farrier lived, Eva started learning from him.
What began as casual instruction turned into a passion for shoeing—and a love for ongoing education. Eva began practicing on other horses at the property, then on friends’ horses, and, eventually, she built a full-time practice.

Today, Eva works seven days a week, averaging about 15 horses per day. And like many farriers who love the work itself, she admits she’s “not a great business manager.”

That’s exactly why she needed EQUINET.
“I was text messaging clients every single day”
Before EQUINET, Eva’s scheduling system was a combination of paper calendars and her phone’s built-in calendar app. The paper backup protected her from losing everything if her phone failed.
The digital calendar made appointments searchable.

But the real time drain? Daily text reminders.

“I was sending text messages every single day to all the clients that were coming up in two days,” Eva says. She’d learned the hard way that without reminders, clients would forget appointments—and she’d arrive to find no one home.

But the time it took to send these reminders went way beyond simply composing the texts. “The clients would message me back and say, ‘Oh, could you remind me what time you’re coming?’ Or they would ask me extensive and exhausting questions, which consumed even more of my time.”
I had long been waiting for an app that would send all of my reminders to clients for me—and manage the reminders so that I didn't have to do it myself.

She’d been looking and looking for a solution.
Eva first heard about EQUINET at the International Hoof Care Summit in January 2024.

As a board member with the International Association of Professional Farriers, she networks extensively with industry vendors at trade shows. When someone from EQUINET described the app’s automated reminder system, Eva knew she’d found exactly what she’d been looking for.

“I had long been waiting for an app that would send all of my reminders to clients for me—and manage the reminders so that I didn’t have to do it myself,” she says. “Learning about EQUINET was an absolutely amazing opportunity that really solved all of my problems.”
Getting time back in her day
Now, Eva says, the EQUINET app sends appointment invitations to clients, then follows up with reminders—eliminating the daily texting that had consumed so much of her time.

“It’s pretty user-friendly,” Eva says about getting started with the app. And, when she needs help, she reaches out to EQUINET's U.S. support team. She’s also working with them as she explores additional features, like note-taking and other functions.

While she’s still discovering everything the app can do, the automated reminders alone have made a significant difference in how she manages her practice.

Now she’s spreading the word
Eva’s commitment to ongoing education extends beyond her own practice. When she sees farriers asking questions on social media forums about scheduling or practice management, she makes a point to let them know about EQUINET.

“I’ll make sure I mention it in response to some of those social media questions,” she says.

As a busy farrier who works seven days a week and prioritizes continuous learning, any tool has to prove its worth quickly. For Eva, EQUINET’s automated reminder system delivered exactly what she needed—and gave her time back to focus on the horses.
