“I was sending text messages every single day to all the clients that were coming up in two days,” Eva says. She’d learned the hard way that without reminders, clients would forget appointments—and she’d arrive to find no one home.

But the time it took to send these reminders went way beyond simply composing the texts. “The clients would message me back and say, ‘Oh, could you remind me what time you’re coming?’ Or they would ask me extensive and exhausting questions, which consumed even more of my time.”

Eva first heard about EQUINET at the International Hoof Care Summit in January 2024.

As a board member with the International Association of Professional Farriers, she networks extensively with industry vendors at trade shows. When someone from EQUINET described the app’s automated reminder system, Eva knew she’d found exactly what she’d been looking for.

Now, Eva says, the EQUINET app sends appointment invitations to clients, then follows up with reminders—eliminating the daily texting that had consumed so much of her time.

“It’s pretty user-friendly,” Eva says about getting started with the app. And, when she needs help, she reaches out to EQUINET's U.S. support team. She’s also working with them as she explores additional features, like note-taking and other functions.

While she’s still discovering everything the app can do, the automated reminders alone have made a significant difference in how she manages her practice.

Eva’s commitment to ongoing education extends beyond her own practice. When she sees farriers asking questions on social media forums about scheduling or practice management, she makes a point to let them know about EQUINET.

“I’ll make sure I mention it in response to some of those social media questions,” she says.

As a busy farrier who works seven days a week and prioritizes continuous learning, any tool has to prove its worth quickly. For Eva, EQUINET’s automated reminder system delivered exactly what she needed—and gave her time back to focus on the horses.
